Overview
Provide practical and organizational support to directors, actors, designers, stage crew and technicians throughout the production process. Represent directors during performances, supervise show quality, schedule and run rehearsals, call cues and coordinate technical crews.
Responsibilities
Supervise cast and associates during load‑in, rehearsal and run of theatre productions and special events.
Maintain operational safety, efficiency, show quality and associate compliance.
Provide directions, training and support to execute all entertainment shows, events and facility maintenance.
Ensure technical performance standards and policies are exhibited and enforce them when they are not.
Interact with company manager to ensure show content is performed at expected levels.
Provide associate job performance feedback, counseling and low‑level discipline as needed.
Ensure associate time‑keeping standards are maintained daily.
Communicate department status to supervisor, including operational issues, associate concerns, guest complaints and special requests.
Provide guest service according to standards when serving guests or working with subordinates.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and perform duties in compliance with safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
Adhere to attendance policies and rules of conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Stage Management (Bachelor's in Theatre Arts preferred).
2–4 years of professional experience.
Training in working with directors, actors and technical crews during rehearsals and productions.
Calmness under pressure, confidence, decision‑making ability and multitasking skills.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, stage drawings, lighting and stage plots.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, as required by company policy.
