FIBER & UTILITY INFRASTRUCTURE

JOB SUMMARY
The Sales & Marketing Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion by combining strategic sales execution with targeted marketing initiatives. This role develops and manages a strong book of business while also increasing brand visibility, generating qualified leads, and supporting go-to‑market strategy within the utility, broadband, data center, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors.

The ideal candidate is both a relationship‑driven sales professional and a results‑oriented marketer, capable of building pipelines through direct outreach and marketing‑driven demand generation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Responsibilities

Drive sales in construction and infrastructure markets, including:

Micro trenching

Telecommunications & fiber installation

Directional drilling

Water and sewer infrastructure

Prospect, negotiate, and close new business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers.

Conduct client meetings, site visits, presentations, and proposals.

Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

Develop customized solutions aligned with client needs.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms.

Track pipeline, forecast revenue, and report on performance.

Marketing & Growth Responsibilities

Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads in key sectors:

Data centers

Broadband networks

Renewable energy

Municipal utilities

Create and publish consistent, professional content including:

Project spotlights

Before/after visuals

Industry insights

Company updates and announcements

Use social media as a lead generation and relationship‑building tool, engaging directly with prospects, partners, and industry stakeholders.

Support creation of case studies, project highlights, sales collateral, proposals and presentations.

Align marketing efforts with sales pipeline to improve conversion rates.

Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.

Identify market trends, competitor positioning, and new growth opportunities.

Drive account‑based marketing (ABM) efforts for high‑value prospects.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with operations, estimating, and project teams to ensure successful delivery.

Align messaging between marketing materials and sales conversations.

Provide customer insights to improve service positioning and offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills with proven results.

Experience or familiarity with marketing strategy, campaigns, or lead generation.

Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

Experience using CRM and marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).

Ability to manage both pipeline development and brand‑building initiatives.

Analytical mindset with ability to measure performance and optimize efforts.

Established network in construction, telecom, or utility sectors.

WORK EXPERIENCE

5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing within construction, utilities, or telecommunications/fiber infrastructure.

Proven track record of revenue generation and/or lead generation success.

Preferred: Experience managing both sales cycles and marketing initiatives.

Proven risk‑management experience in construction projects.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Construction Management.

Strong understanding of construction processes and industry regulations.

COMPENSATION

Base salary + commission.

Target total compensation: $100,000 – $200,000 annually.

WORK CONDITIONS

Full‑time, on‑site role.

Travel required for client visits, job sites, and industry events.

Combination of office, field, and event‑based work.
