Commercial Lines Account Manager – Real Estate
The Commercial Lines Account Manager – Real Estate plays a critical role supporting marketing, servicing, and underwriting processes for commercial real estate accounts. This individual specializes in servicing clients such as property owners, property managers, real estate investment groups, and developers. The Account Manager ensures client records are accurate, renewals are handled proactively, endorsements processed efficiently, and client communications are clear and professional. This role collaborates closely with Producers, Account Executives, and carrier partners to deliver exceptional service and tailored risk management solutions for real estate clients.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of commercial real estate accounts including renewals, policy changes, billing inquiries, and day‑to‑day service needs

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with real estate clients, carrier partners, and internal team members

Support new business production efforts by gathering underwriting data, preparing submissions, and coordinating marketing with carriers

Evaluate client risk exposures related to real estate operations including property portfolios, habitational risks, property management operations, and development projects

Assist in developing coverage strategies including property, general liability, umbrella, workers compensation, and specialty real estate coverages

Coordinate and process policy documentation including binders, certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, ID cards, insurance summaries, and policy changes

Manage high‑volume certificate requests and additional insured requirements for property managers, tenants, lenders, and vendors

Review lease agreements, management contracts, and insurance requirements to ensure compliance with coverage specifications

Assist with renewal strategy by preparing renewal summaries, gathering updated underwriting information, and coordinating with carriers

Handle client billing inquiries including invoicing, reconciling discrepancies, and tracking outstanding payments

Maintain accurate documentation within the agency management system and ensure compliance with agency workflows and procedures

Participate in client and carrier meetings as needed to support relationship management and service delivery

Requirements

Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (required)

Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship management skills

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Proactive problem‑solving and analytical abilities

Ability to work independently while collaborating with producers, account executives, and service teams

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Education & Experience

3+ years experience servicing Commercial Lines accounts

Experience working with real estate risks including property portfolios, habitational accounts, property management firms, or real estate investors, strongly preferred

Familiarity with insurance requirements related to leases, lenders, and property management agreements

Experience managing high‑volume certificates of insurance

Experience working with agency management systems, Applied Epic a plus

Understanding of commercial insurance coverage including property, liability, umbrella, and workers compensation
