Podcast Producer

We're looking for a highly technical, highly organized Podcast Producer to lead the end-to-end production and operational execution of a top 10 podcast! This role will own day-to-day execution and operational performance across our podcast team. The Podcast Producer is the execution owner: translating vision into action, clarifying ownership, and ensuring the podcast runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

Own podcast production from pre-production through publishing
Oversee technical execution across audio, video, and remote recording environments
Build and maintain efficient recording, editing, publishing, and distribution workflows
Ensure high production quality across cameras, lighting, audio, pacing, and post-production standards
Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve production systems
Prepare episode briefs, outlines, and production notes
Work directly with the host to create compelling and well-structured conversations
Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and production requirements for recordings
Ideal Background

5+ years of Podcast Production experience
Strong technical understanding of podcast and video production workflows
Experience operating or managing recording environments (audio, cameras, lighting, remote setups)
Familiarity with editing workflows and post-production systems
Deep understanding of YouTube publishing, metadata, retention, and packaging principles
Comfortable working inside project management and content systems
Experience coordinating editors, freelancers, and production vendors
Strong troubleshooting instincts and ability to solve problems independently
Able to work in the office (Central Austin, TX)

Compensation

$130k to $150k (depending on experience)
