Overview

The Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) is focused on building a shared, open‑source standard (C2PA) that lets consumers know the origin of digital content and helps mitigate misinformation. The Adobe CAI team develops the C2PA standard and integrates Content Credentials into Adobe’s product suite.

Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced developer to join our web team. Your work will extend C2PA usage from the ACA website into Adobe products such as Photoshop. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers across Adobe to build, test, and maintain new and existing features.

Responsibilities

  • Work across flagship products and systems to ensure C2PA technology is used as broadly as possible.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to drive adoption of evolving technologies and continuously improve our products and services.
  • Contribute to highly visible technology projects that shape the future of digital media and bring trust and transparency to the ecosystem.
  • Participate in architectural discussions, proposing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges and fostering consensus.
  • Promote engineering best practices to maintain high standards of code quality and software craftsmanship.
  • Thrive in a high‑velocity team environment, prioritizing tasks effectively and delivering results with speed and precision.

Required Experience

  • 5–6 years as a web‑focused software engineer with proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Extensive experience with modern frameworks for building and testing websites, such as React, Svelte, Playwright, Puppeteer, etc.
  • Experience building highly maintainable and well‑commented production applications.
  • Fluency with Git and GitHub.
  • Reverence for great documentation and the ability to produce it where sensible.
  • Appreciation for well‑tested code and pragmatism about when and where to build test infrastructure.
  • Passion for solving problems of any scope elegantly every day.
  • Ability to embrace constructive criticism and share it effectively with colleagues.
  • Proven drive to improve your skills and knowledge.

Preferred Experience

  • Direct experience with Svelte, SvelteKit, Tailwind, Percy.
  • Experience developing browser plug‑ins/extensions.
  • Experience with WordPress, Drupal, and other common frameworks/systems.
  • A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD, CDNs, and related deployment technologies.

Compensation

U.S. pay range: $159,200 – $301,600 annually (variable by location and other factors). State‑specific ranges: California $208,300 – $301,600; New York $208,300 – $301,600; Washington $190,200 – $275,400.
