PR and Communications Crisis Associate
We are looking to hire a full-time Associate who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced and growth-oriented work environment. This is a role with significant potential for advancement. We offer competitive salary and benefits.
Duties will include:
- Supporting the crisis communications team with research, media monitoring, and administrative tasks
- Monitoring news coverage, social media conversations, and emerging issues affecting clients
- Drafting and proofreading client communications, including statements, media advisories, talking points, and briefing materials
- Assisting in preparing reports, media summaries, and daily monitoring updates for clients
- Attending client and internal meetings, take notes, and help track action items and deadlines
- Updating and maintaining media lists, contact databases, and project files
- Conducting background research on issues, organizations, stakeholders, and media outlets
- Assisting with media outreach efforts and responding to routine reporter inquiries under supervision
- Coordinating schedules, meetings, and communications with clients, vendors, and team members
- Performing other communications and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Public Policy, Media or other related humanities fields
- 2+ years of previous job experience in related field
- Familiar with different technology and can apply tech to help streamline workflow
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Exceptional research, writing/storytelling and editing skills
- Strong knowledge of digital platforms and digital marketing landscape
- Experience in design (E.g. Canva, Adobe suite, etc.)
- First-rate interpersonal skills with the ability to connect well with clients and colleagues alike
- Trend savvy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of applications required
- Strong strategic thinker with a history of problem solving
- Able to work in-person. This is not a remote position.
