About the Role

As an Account Director, you will drive revenue growth and long‑term retention across our portfolio of podcast publishers. By owning high‑value, complex relationships, you translate business goals into scalable solutions and partner closely with Business Development, Technical Account Management, Product, and Solution Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of high‑value, complex client relationships to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to identify new business opportunities, expand existing relationships, and increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet clients’ needs and exceed expectations.
  • Analyze client data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and provide insights to inform account strategy.
  • Negotiate renewals and/or new deals with clients, ensuring profitable and mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Serve as a strategic member of the Podcast Business team.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional internal teams such as Business Development, Technical Account Management, Product, and Solution Engineers.
  • Coach project owners throughout the duration of a project or work plan, escalating when necessary to drive progress.
  • Use process and tools to communicate, discuss, and promote business successes and issues within the department and to various stakeholders.
  • Anticipate changes to technology and processes, preparing the team to adapt.
  • Explore new technologies and build a roadmap for implementing them into the workflow.
  • Anticipate cross‑functional communication issues and address them effectively within your team and across functions.
  • Lead strategic discussions with cross‑functional teams and upper management.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, sales, or a related field with a proven track record of managing complex client relationships.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the advertising industry and complementary technologies, including market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and increase customer satisfaction through strategic account planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and develop a deep understanding of complex products and services, positioning solutions and advising clients on their business impact.
  • Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Slack, Jira, and the Google Office Suite.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment in complex or sensitive situations while maintaining strong, trust‑based relationships.
  • Experience with automation and/or AI tools such as chatGPT, Gemini, etc.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Compensation

Base salary for this position is expected to be in the range of $130,000 to $170,000, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. The role may also be eligible for discretionary short‑term and long‑term incentives.
