As a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ), you will pitch, write, shoot, interview, and edit stories for TV, connected television, and digital platforms. You will work under tight deadlines, collaborate with a team, and bring local community stories to 24‑hour news viewers across 41 states.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Television news reporting – 3+ years

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field; or comparable television work experience

Technical skills: Ability to shoot videos, understand video editing software, and utilize social media effectively

Communication: Ability to communicate effectively on camera, through writing, and verbally

Abilities: Innate curiosity, sense of urgency for creating compelling stories, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds

Travel: Willing to travel to discover important stories in the neighborhood and interact with the community

Schedule: Ability to work under time‑pressure deadlines, willing to work different shifts, longer shifts, weekends, and holidays due to breaking news and severe weather emergencies

Valid driver's license for authorized driving in the state of residence

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a 24‑hour news channel

Working Conditions

Work inside a climate‑controlled environment and outside throughout the year; may be subjected to various weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
