Description
This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio and video equipment for various events. Ensures complete customer satisfaction and troubleshooting related to audiovisual setups. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job's overall responsibilities.)
• Ensures a flawless, well executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of required audiovisual equipment as listed in facility setup sheets. • Monitor sound and video operations during scheduled events to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly; troubleshoot any technical issues such as feedback or distortion • Complete pre-event sound checks when essential in delivering a high-quality experience that compliments the performance and venue. • Strives to exceed all expectations and needs of internal and external customers; meets with internal and external customers to ensure all audiovisual needs are met and working properly prior to event beginning. • Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness to include the ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness and pivot service as needed. • Understands all technical aspects of job requirements and demonstrates core operational ability to independently diagnose and resolve all equipment and software issues. • Work with IT Department for user support of all software and hardware related computer issues relative to A/V setup requirements. • Provide support to assist facility staff on setup requirements for audiovisual equipment requested for use by clubs and various membership meetings. • Collaborate with internal event planners, external sound techs, and entertainment to understand specific equipment and setup requirements for each event. • Take ownership and ensure accountability and responsiveness for all audiovisual setups in a safe and professional manner. • Complete preventative maintenance on association equipment and provide verbal and written recommendations for replacements and upgrades as needed. • Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Maintains consistent record of acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines. • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include evenings and weekends, at any Recreation Centers of Sun City West facility. • Work is performed on site.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Sufficient Training and education to demonstrate possession of required knowledge, skills and qualifications are required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. • Requires an in-depth knowledge of electronics, electrical and audio and visual equipment such as audio mixer boards, microphones, speakers, projectors, video cameras, light boards and controllers. • Minimum of 3 years directly related experience in audio visual set up, maintenance, repair. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Allen & Heath Audio Mixing Systems, and ETC Lighting Console or similar equipment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is conducted in dynamic workspaces to include offices, conference rooms, lecture halls, and facilities including indoor and outdoor venues with moderate to loud levels of noise. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects and tools to include computers, audio, visual and office equipment. Vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate or louder depending on the venue. Work is expected to be performed from both an office setting and venues that are both indoors and outdoors.
