What You'll Do:

Discovery & Landscape Assessment

Conduct a comprehensive audit of the client current internal communications ecosystem, including existing channels, tools, cadences, and stakeholders
Identify and map internal communications partners, teams, and resources across the organization that the Learning & Engagement team can plug into
Assess gaps, redundancies, and opportunities in the current state of communications

Audience Segmentation & Personas

Define and document key internal audience segments relevant to Learning & Engagement communications
Develop audience personas that reflect employee needs, communication preferences, and engagement patterns
Provide recommendations for how to tailor messaging and channel strategy to different audience groups

Strategy & Planning

Develop an overarching internal communications strategy aligned to customer experience goals and The Way We Work adoption across the enterprise
Build a tactical communications plan, including recommended campaigns, themes, timelines, and channels
Establish a framework to assess longer-term communications needs

Tactical Communications Execution

Support day-to-day communications production, including drafting announcements, newsletters, intranet content, and other employee-facing materials in support of customer experience and The Way We Work initiatives
Collaborate with internal comms partners and stakeholders to ensure consistency with enterprise messaging and brand standards
Maintain and execute existing communications commitments while discovery and strategy work is underway

Works directly with business line management to develop, manage, implement, and evaluate internal communications, to include sales/service/operations, change management, employee engagement, and organizational initiatives.
Identify, prepare and implement plans for significant organizational announcements and respond to employee inquiries.
Manage divisional intranet, including content design.
Lead the evaluation and potential implementation of new communication delivery channels.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client's brand.
Maintain the client's internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
May serve as a team lead.
Conduct a communications landscape assessment (channels, tools, stakeholders, gaps)
Define audience segments and personas to improve targeting and relevance
Develop an overarching internal communications strategy aligned to enterprise priorities
Create a tactical communications and campaign plan (channels, messaging, cadence)
Support ongoing communications execution (announcements, intranet content, campaigns) during the engagement
Scope includes both strategic discovery and execution support
Deliverables: documented current-state assessment, audience framework, communications strategy, and tactical campaign roadmap
Role will partner closely with the Engagement & Activation Lead, internal comms stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
This role addresses a current gap in dedicated strategic communications capacity and will establish a scalable, repeatable foundation that can be transitioned to internal teams.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, or a closely related field
Minimum of 8+ years of experience conducting communications audits and landscape assessments
Minimum of 8+ years of experience working within large, matrixed organizations
Minimum of 8+ years of experience Internal Communications Strategy & Audience Segmentation
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Strategic Planning + Hands-On Execution
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Executive-Level Writing & Employee-Focused Storytelling
What Sets You Apart:

Experience in financial services or similarly complex, regulated industries
Familiarity with learning & development or HR communications
Experience collaborating with or working alongside internal communications centers of excellence
Internal communications strategy, including current-state assessment, audience segmentation, and campaign planning
Ability to translate insights into actionable strategy while also supporting hands-on execution
Strong writing and storytelling skills to develop clear, engaging content across channels
Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate discovery into actionable plans
Excellent written communication skills with experience developing content for multiple channels and audiences
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic and executional work simultaneously
