A pop music artist is seeking an experienced music producer and audio engineer to elevate a new song to a professional standard. The role involves overseeing the entire music production process, from initial arrangement through mixing and mastering, with a focus on achieving a polished, radio-ready sound. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely in‑person in New York, ensuring creative alignment and hands‑on involvement throughout the project. Flexibility for candidates willing to travel to New York is also considered.

Responsibilities

Oversee and execute the full music production process, including arrangement, recording, mixing, and mastering

Collaborate directly with the artist to refine song structure, instrumentation, and sonic direction

Apply advanced mixing and mastering techniques to achieve a high-quality, industry-standard sound

Provide creative input on vocal production, harmonies, and overall musical style

Manage studio sessions efficiently, ensuring deadlines and creative goals are met

Communicate progress and incorporate feedback throughout the project lifecycle

Skills and Requirements

Proven track record in pop music production, mixing, and mastering

Expertise with industry-standard DAWs (such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live)

Strong understanding of vocal production, arrangement, and sound designExperience working with artists in a collaborative, in‑person studio environment

Ability to deliver polished, commercially viable mixes and masters
