With over 22 years of experience and 500+ completed projects, WAD is a nimble, design-forward practice with deep vendor relationships, discerning clients, and a reputation built on craft and process — not volume.THE OPPORTUNITYWe're growing and looking for a junior designer who is ready to take on real responsibility in a fast-paced boutique environment. You'll work closely with the principal on active kitchen and bathroom projects — from initial concept through construction documentation — and play a direct role in how projects come to life.Gain direct exposure to the professional residential design industry through William Adams’ active involvement with the NKBA Northern California Chapter (National Kitchen & Bath Association) including opportunities to build connections with respected industry professionals, vendors, and trade partners.WHAT YOU'LL DOProduce construction documents and detailed drawings in AutoCADAssist in the selection and specification of finishes, fixtures, and materialsManage project data, procurement tracking, and vendor coordination in Studio DesignerSupport client presentations and project communicationCoordinate with contractors and trades on active projectsMaintain project files and team communication via Google WorkspaceWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR1–3 years of experience in interior design, interior architecture, or a closely related fieldStrong proficiency in AutoCAD requiredExperience with Studio Designer strongly preferredFluent in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail)Residential project experience strongly preferredHighly organized with excellent attention to detailProfessional, polished communication skills — you'll interface with clients and vendorsCollaborative, low-ego, and comfortable in a small-team settingPortfolio demonstrating both technical capability and design sensibilityA working knowledge of AI tools and curiosity around how AI can improve design workflows, client communication, project management, and operational efficiencyComfortable adapting to new systems, processes, and technologies in a fast-paced boutique studio environment with a proactive mindsetCOMPENSATIONCommensurate with experience.
