Job Overview
Supporting factory performance, assisting in development of production and planning structure, and participating in implementation and improvement of manufacturing processes and methods.

Responsibilities

Recommend best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability.

Assist with implementation of continuous improvement processes to create a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions using the 8D Problem Solving Process.

Support operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives.

Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished products and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.

Provide input for budget preparation and monitor expenses and profitability.

Write spec books; request and evaluate supplier quotations.

Assist in the design, documentation, and implementation of medium‑scale manufacturing processes; check feasibility of product changes.

Plan and accomplish goals, evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements.

Ensure highly technical equipment meets required specifications and quality standards.

Participate in cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.

Contribute to product and process quality design and testing methods.

Propose planning standards, methods, and procedures.

Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes.

Assist team members to accomplish production goals.

Support medium‑scale projects from beginning to end.

Recommend manpower changes to impact efficiency.

Work with group leaders and team leaders to identify potentials for waste elimination.

Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or other relevant degree required.

0‑2 years of relevant experience required; automotive experience (Body in White, Paint, Assembly) highly preferred.

6 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and process technology.

Ability to present technical information.

Strong written and verbal communication at all levels within the organization with good negotiation skills.

Ability to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions.

Knowledge of joining technologies such as MIG/MAG, spot and laser welding, and gluing is a plus.
