FischTank PR is seeking hungry NYC/NYC-area based PR and communications professional to join FischTank PR as a Senior Account Executive. This role refers to an individual who has 1-3 years professional experience preferably at an agency or in‑house in a communications or PR‑focused role, and demonstrated success working with B2B/enterprise technology and AI‑focused companies.
An SAE at FischTank serves as a tactical role on accounts, completing key tasks around media monitoring, list building, reporter research, and most notably, media relations, among others.
This is a role best suited for someone who is a self‑starter and ambitious, looking to learn from their more experienced colleagues and our established roster of clients.

Qualifications

1‑3 years experience at a PR agency or in‑house working with B2B/enterprise and AI‑focused technology companies
A strong network of reporter relationships including top tier and trade
An initiative to achieve media results that impact client business
Strong writing skills that translate to PR outcomes (press releases, bylines, op‑eds, blog posts)
Open‑minded, ready to learn, growth mind‑set
Shows desire to grow as a professional in the PR space
Receives constructive feedback well and sees it as a growth opportunity
Works well in an open, team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google (Search + G‑Suite)
Fundamental understanding of social media use for business
Responsibilities

Reports to Account Directors
Handle responsibilities across ~6 accounts
Handle tasks including pitch writing, media monitoring, media research, reporting, agendas, and media relations activities
Support larger account initiatives as assigned by account leaders
Achieve media results on behalf of clients through proactive media relations outreach
Learn the ins and outs of PR agency work, client communications, and the “why” for why companies hire us
Relentless pursuit of client outcomes
Salary (based on experience): $70-78,000
