The purpose of this role is to achieve sustained sales growth, profitability, and improve customer satisfaction with the assigned Waukesha Cherry-Burrell (WCB) brand product offering.
At SPX FLOW, Product Managers act as owners of their assigned product line(s) and drive global growth initiatives, providing strategic direction, documenting new product development justification, prioritizing development and marketing initiatives, developing pricing strategies, and providing value proposition training to our commercial sales organizations, channel partners, and end‑user customers.
The role is expected to achieve product line targets for orders, vitality, and profitability through participation in strategic planning, value proposition definition, market and competitor research, forecasting, new product development initiation, and product lifecycle management. This role requires activity at both a strategic and tactical level across all relevant markets and regions. The incumbent will work as part of the cross‑functional team including new product development (NPD) engineering, commercial sales, operations, supply chain, marketing, and finance.
Success in this role requires a knowledge of market conditions and customer needs, combined with a deep understanding of the features, functions, and benefits of the product offering. The incumbent will foster and demonstrate a culture of ownership, innovation, continuous improvement, and a bias toward action to deliver results.
Business & Portfolio Ownership
Own product line performance: orders, margin, growth vs. annual operating plan (AOP) targets
Define product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management
Drive pricing strategy, price realization, and profitability
Apply 80/20 principles to optimize portfolio and prioritize resource allocation
Market & Competitive Intelligence
Lead market sizing, segmentation, and competitive benchmarking
Capture Voice of Customer (VOC) and translate into actionable insights
Identify growth opportunities across geographies, channels, and applications
Develop differentiated value propositions to strengthen market position
Growth & Go-to-Market Execution
Build business cases and prioritize NPD / R&D investments
Drive projects stage‑gate process and ensure successful product launches
Enable sales through tools, training, and customer engagement
Partner with marketing on campaigns and commercial initiatives
Operational Alignment & Delivery
Coordinate cross‑functional execution (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance)
Support Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP) forecasting, backlog management, and lifecycle transitions
Lead product communications including launches, promotions, and obsolescence
Support continuous improvement efforts across cost, quality, and delivery
Metrics
Product line orders growth and revenue compared to AOP targets
Product line profitability (standard and gross margins, price realization)
New product vitality index (sales of products launched within last 5 years)
Forecast accuracy for SIOP process
Timely execution of defined initiatives product training, promotion activities, etc.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Product strategy, roadmap development, and lifecycle management
Product line ownership including P&L, pricing, and forecasting
New product development (stage‑gate) and successful product launches
Market analysis, competitive intelligence, and business case development
Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive growth and profitability

Excellent communication skills with ability to engage customers and senior leadership

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
5+ years in a product management role, preferably within industrial or business‑to‑business (B2B) manufacturing
Experience owning product strategy, pricing, and lifecycle management
Strong analytical, commercial, and cross‑functional leadership skills
Broad product and market knowledge in responsible product line area
