The Communications team drives awareness, credibility, and engagement across key audiences. It works closely with other teams to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with Noom’s mission.
About the Role
The Communications Associate helps shape and execute Noom’s external communications strategy. This role drives operational excellence, cross‑functional alignment, and strategic visibility across the Communications function.
You Will
Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Communications team, ensuring priorities are aligned, timelines are met, and initiatives move forward efficiently.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors supporting communications, PR, and brand initiatives.
Serve as a cross‑functional liaison, facilitating workshops, alignment meetings, and collaborative initiatives across teams.
Contribute to Noom‑hosted events and community engagement efforts, ensuring seamless execution and brand alignment.
Support external conference participation and speaking opportunities, including coordination, messaging alignment, and on‑site logistics.
Build and strengthen media relationships across the PR landscape.
Draft and develop content across multiple platforms, including social media, blog posts, and executive talking points, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
Support the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting frameworks, and enhance cross‑team communication systems.
Own additional communications functions such as awards submissions, event calendar management, and vendor coordination.
Qualifications
1–4 years of experience in communications, public relations, brand marketing, or a related field.
Experience managing cross‑functional projects and serving as a liaison between multiple departments.
Strong relationship‑building skills with external partners, agencies, and media contacts.
Experience supporting or coordinating live events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone across formats (press, social, executive messaging).
Comfort working with analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
A proactive, collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
Experience with journalist databases (e.g., MuckRack, Cision) and paid media tooling (Google and Meta) is a plus.
Experience in health or health‑adjacent industries is a big plus.

Base salary range: $65,000‑$87,000. Compensation is determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
Locations: NYC or Princeton office. Hybrid schedule (2 days per week on‑site).
