Overview
Auro Hotels is seeking a dynamic Area Sales and Catering Coordinator for their three hotel properties: Residence Inn by Marriott Riverview, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Riverview, and Courtyard by Marriott Waterfront. The purpose of this role is to increase room revenue by expanding the production of existing special, corporate/travel agent/consortia accounts and groups in collaboration with the Sales Manager(s). Responsibilities

Handle transient and group activity.

Develop action plans to solicit business.

Develop relationships with key lead-generating sources such as third parties, CVB, and the sales organization.

Conduct site visits and tours of the hotel, entertain qualified clients, and attend client events and third‑party events to build relationships and secure business leads.

Identify creative approaches to attract and retain business.

Use resources to research and find new and existing business opportunities.

Demonstrate self‑motivation and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Prepare unique client proposals for group programs.

Solicit new and existing accounts to meet or exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.

Pursue opportunities in untapped corporate markets for individual transient sales efforts—travel agencies and wholesale segments.

Represent the property at the hotel, local, and other special events, and participate in sales and marketing functions as needed.

Communicate clearly and effectively to ensure successful interactions with clients and colleagues.

Manage multiple activities in stressful situations with strong organizational skills.

Exhibit a professional style and confidence to represent the hotel and execute all duties and responsibilities.

Maintain organized files for all corporate and group accounts.

Experience & Education
College degree preferred; high school diploma and/or 2–3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Marriott brand experience preferred.
