About the Role
PitchBook’s Account Executive, Data Feed & API is responsible for selling PitchBook’s API and data feed solutions. The Core Accounts group focuses on a concentrated vertical of customers to maximize knowledge and impact. Account Executives synthesize client needs, industry knowledge, and PitchBook data to create successful solutions, collaborate with Direct Data Sales Engineers, and partner with the broader Account Management team for end‑to‑end engagement.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Consult with PitchBook clients and prospects to determine suitability of data feed and API solutions in their processes

Partner with Commercial teams to sell data feed and API solutions to clients and prospects

Explore opportunities to deepen commercial relationships leveraging knowledge of customers’ business and data needs

Manage a queue of client or prospect projects and sales opportunities

Accurately forecast opportunity pipeline on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

Drive innovation throughout the department by finding new ways to serve customers and sell products

Progressively advance understanding of customers’ business, including contemporary themes and topics

Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors

Participate in company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications

2+ years experience in business development or customer success in a revenue‑generating/closing role

Experience with customer‑facing data feed and API solutions, especially RESTful APIs

Experience in a cross‑functional account management organization

Willingness to learn database concepts (relational tables, data types, normalization)

Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences, including fuzzy matching, name matching, and record reconciliation

Social and technical skills to foster relationships with senior executives

Previous experience selling to banking, general partner, limited partner, and non‑financial corporate customers

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn new systems

Experience with Salesforce, Catalyst, and other CRM tools

Must be authorized to work in the United States without need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Compensation

Annual base salary: $103,075

Annual on‑target variable commission for fully ramped representative meeting expectations: $90,000

No cap on commission; determined by individual performance

Working Conditions
This role is expected to be in the office 5 days a week. Employees use PC and phone on an ongoing basis. Limited corporate travel may be required.

PitchBook is an office‑first environment. Most roles are expected to be onsite full‑time. You must be able to comply with onsite expectations.
