CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Exempt (In-Person)
SCHEDULE: Sunday – Thursday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
POSITION SUMMARY
The Redemption Experience & Dream Team Department Head is responsible for creating, developing, and overseeing the guest and volunteer experience across Redemption Church. This role ensures that every person who enters our campus experiences a welcoming, organized, engaging, and life-giving environment while cultivating a thriving culture of servant leadership throughout the Dream Team. This leader provides strategic oversight of the Guest Experience ministry and development, recognition, scheduling, and retention. The ideal candidate is highly relational, detail-oriented, visionary, and passionate about creating exceptional experiences that help people connect with God, the Church, and community.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Experience Leadership
Champion and cast vision for a culture of excellence, hospitality, and service throughout all guest-facing environments.
Create and maintain a seamless first-time guest journey from arrival to follow-up.
Oversee all Guest Experience systems, procedures, and standards.
Ensure all public-facing areas remain welcoming, organized, and guest-ready.
Coordinate campus signage, wayfinding, and environmental experiences for weekends and special events.
Develop innovative guest engagement opportunities that enhance the Sunday and event experience.
Dream Team Oversight
Lead all Dream Team recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, leadership development, and retention efforts alongside Department Head and Director Collegues.
Build a healthy volunteer culture rooted in excellence, ownership, honor, and servant leadership.
Develop and oversee Coach and Captain leadership structures.
Manage volunteer recognition programs, appreciation events, and Dream Team celebrations.
Monitor volunteer engagement metrics and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Collaborate with department leaders to ensure volunteer staffing needs are met across all ministries and events.
Ministry Areas of Oversight
Provide direct leadership and accountability for:
Lead Guest Experience and Dream Team execution for all major church events, conferences, and special initiatives.
Collaborate with Facilities, Production, Security, and ministry departments to ensure operational excellence.
Oversee event setup and breakdown processes related to Guest Experience and volunteer teams.
Manage event logistics, communication plans, and execution standards.
Leadership & Administration
Manage departmental budgets and resources responsibly.
Maintain departmental calendars, schedules, and planning systems.
Oversee purchasing, inventory, storage, and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
Manage reporting, metrics, and department performance indicators.
Maintain proficiency in all church databases, software platforms, and communication systems.
Participate in interdepartmental planning meetings and collaborative initiatives.
Foster strong partnerships with campus leaders and Guest Experience teams across all Redemption Church locations.
Team Development
Provide coaching, leadership, and pastoral care to volunteers and team leaders.
Lead regular team meetings, trainings, and leadership development.
Assist in creating a unified Dream Team culture across all ministries and campuses.
Serve as a visible and approachable leader who is accessible to volunteers and guests alike.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years of Guest Experience, Hospitality, Customer Service, or Volunteer experience
1–2 years of Project Management, or Operations experience
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteers
High level of initiative with the ability to work independently
Strong administrative and project management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Planning Center
Ability to build and maintain healthy relationships with staff and volunteers
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
Active participant in the life and culture of Redemption Church
Preferred
Experience working in a church or nonprofit environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 10–25 pounds
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Ability to bend, stoop, and move equipment or materials as needed
