Job Description
Position Overview
We're looking for a Videographer & Video Editor to create high-performing, social-first video content for a growing beauty brand. This role is hands-on across the full process—concepting, shooting, and editing—with a focus on short-form content (Reels, TikTok) and select longer-form YouTube videos.
You should have a strong instinct for what works on social, how to translate trends into brand-right content, and how to make beauty feel elevated but still native to platform. This role reports directly to the Creative Director.
Key Responsibilities
Concept, shoot, and edit short-form video content optimized for TikTok and Instagram Reels (core focus)
Produce longer-form YouTube content including tutorials, storytelling, and campaign extensions
Capture product, texture, application, and lifestyle footage with a strong eye for beauty
Edit with attention to pacing, hooks, sound, and platform-native storytelling
Rapidly turn around content while maintaining a high creative standard
Collaborate with social and marketing teams to ideate and execute weekly/monthly content
Stay deeply plugged into social trends, creators, and emerging formats within beauty
Work with talent, founders, and influencers on-camera
Manage shoots end-to-end (lighting, audio, camera, basic set direction)
Requirements
3–6+ years shooting and editing video, ideally in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle
Strong portfolio of social-first content (this matters more than traditional reel work)
Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube formats
Skilled in editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
Able to balance speed and taste—you can move fast without making things feel rushed
Highly collaborative but also comfortable owning projects independently
Strong visual sensibility with attention to detail (lighting, skin, texture, tone)
Nice to Haves
Motion graphics (After Effects)
Experience shooting beauty close-ups (skin, product, application)
Familiarity with performance-driven creative and paid social
Basic color grading skills
