Program Manager of Fresh Start

Compensation based on experience and education, up to $55,000 base salary with additional incentives available.

Responsibilities

As a full‑time Program Manager in Intercept’s Fresh Start Program, you will oversee all staff and direct‑care issues and services, ensuring effective leadership‑based management of the program with an emphasis on high‑quality care delivered in a cost‑effective manner. You will maintain weekly communication and/or supervision with your Regional Program Manager for oversight of job responsibilities.
Help residents and parents and/or legal guardians understand the effects of separating a resident from the family and what they can expect in terms of group living.
Assist in establishing and/or maintaining relationships with families and effectively plan and prepare for residents’ future care.
Assist residents in developing functional interpersonal skills needed for success in life.
Convey residents’ needs to staff members to promote positive adjustment to group living.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling; or
Baccalaureate degree in social work or psychology with documented field‑work experience and supervision by a qualified provider staff member, as required by 22VAC40‑151‑290 D; or
Baccalaureate degree and three years of professional experience working with children.
Preferred

QMHP and Master’s degree in a human services field with three or more years’ experience with children, one of which is in a residential facility; or
Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required with five or more years’ experience with children, two of which are in a residential facility; or
Two or more years of group‑home management/supervision or similar experience.
