As a Senior Motion Designer at Super, you will transform our multi‑brand identity into compelling motion experiences for clients. You will bring static designs to life, explore generative AI, and mentor junior and middle‑level motion designers, serving as an inspiring design role model and guiding the team’s visual output.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal clients, art directors, and other team members to understand project requirements and develop creative concepts for motion graphics.
- Create storyboards or visual outlines to plan the sequence of events and transitions in animations.
- Use After Effects or Premiere to animate static graphics or illustrations.
- Leverage generative AI to produce storyboards, image assets, and videos that support creative ideas.
- Present concepts, progress updates, and final deliverables to clients or stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and improve the work.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies such as generative AI.
- Continuously improve your skills and stay competitive in the field.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a motion design role.
- Strong understanding of motion design principles and trends.
- Proficiency in industry‑standard motion design programs (After Effects, Premiere) with confident editing skills.
- Proven keen interest in new technologies, particularly generative AI.
- Portfolio that showcases a range of work with rationale and evidence of the process behind your ideas.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong design background and awareness of current trends in motion and design.
- Fundamental knowledge of story‑telling and ability to apply it to film and motion briefs, comfortable expressing ideas through storyboards and/or treatments.
- Team player able to adapt creative approach depending on project scale and requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate and communicate ideas in English (written and spoken).
- Confident collaborating with colleagues and departments, taking creative direction.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
