Responsibilities:
The News Creator team develops and executes strategies to grow the news content ecosystem through management, partnerships, and key programs. We work closely with Product teams to understand creator cohorts and set priorities, while collaborating with News Publishers and cross-functional partners to drive efforts forward within the evolving news landscape. Responsibilities include:
Build and lead a high-performing team of News Creator Managers in the region.
Lead the development and execution of programs focused on engaging and supporting News creators on TikTok.
Drive News content strategies aligned with product priorities, partnering closely with Product and Operations teams to support product adoption.
Identify key platform goals and strategic opportunities for News creators in the region, translating them into actionable initiatives.
Set team OKRs, metrics, and success measures; leveraging data to evaluate performance, optimize programs, and inform decision-making.
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., Comms, GR, USDS, Legal) to operationalize and scale creator programs and engagement.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant experience in a major media or tech company, ideally with a focus on the News industry and creator landscape in the U.S. Deep understanding of the News, social media, and creator ecosystem, including digital content strategies and platform operations. Experience building, managing, and leading high-performing teams, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Compensation Description (Annually): The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $159000 - $384000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
