Production Technician

We are looking for a Production Technician to manufacture Carbice products using the company's defined processes and procedures. This role will have visibility to several areas of the business including Engineering and Sales. The Production Technician will report directly to the Manager of Production or the Director of Operations. Assigned tasks will include (but are not limited to):
Employee is primarily responsible for executing existing manufacturing processes in a repeatable, reliable manner
Eventual scope of work includes cutting samples, operating a furnace with computer interface, manual polymer coating in a fume hood, maintain high quality assurance, maintaining documentation, packaging, and shipping
Responsibilities will expand over time as training progresses
Perform other manufacturing tasks as assigned and trained
Document and communicate status and results as needed

Must have 2+ years in manufacturing/production environment 8-hour shift within 6:00 am to 11:00 pm work window with some overtime/weekends when required. Good work ethic, punctual, communicates well, attention to detail, good dexterity, quick learner, dependable, high integrity, team player, works well in a team environment, collaborates with others, ability to work independently, with supervision or in small teams, flexibility with daily responsibilities, strong desire to learn, good problem-solving skills.
Preferred: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work are a plus. Comfortable with a computer, operation of simple software (i.e., MS Office Suite, basic CAD, executing LabView commands). Knowledge of vacuum and/or semiconductor processing systems, PLC controlled equipment, test equipment, electrical, or pipefitting skills are a plus. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to travel throughout facility as required.
