This position (Production Specialist) is responsible for the preparation and completion of engineered resins manufacturing for photochemistry applications. A detailed breakdown of the different responsibilities associated with this position is defined below. The hours are 2pm - 10:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring a reliable live inventory of raw materials, WIP, or completed batches in the areas under your responsibility.
Providing first hand support to Production on issues associated with the resins based on the actual process parameters that may result in significant downtime.
Suggesting procedural and process improvements to meet the plant's productivity and quality goals.
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety and local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Responsible for creating, reviewing, submitting, and completing the resin recipes required to accomplish the production schedules.
Submitting and completing all the sampling associated with the batching process so batches are fully approved before use.
Ensuring the effective utilization of raw materials in the batching area so minimal waste or obsolescence is avoided while accomplishing your duties.
Responsible for following and maintaining all the documentation associated with your activities as defined in the Quality Management System.
Creating or completing projects or reports assigned or requested by Supervisor.
Addressing any potential equipment or batching process issues that may affect or delay the batching schedule.
Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels (oral and written).
You will need:
Associates degree or High School degree with production experience.
Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Solid problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work on an independent basis.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
