Senior Program Coordinator
The Senior Program Coordinator works in conjunction with the Director of Social Services and the Managing Director of Hotel Programs to oversee all service and operational aspects of the DHS Hotel programs, including the supervision of the Operations Manager, Night Manager and Program Assistant.
Primary:
Provide documented supervision and guidance to Operations Manager, Night Manager and Program Assistant.
Secondary:
The Senior Program Coordinator supports the Director of Social Services in achieving the program's goals. This includes providing strategic input, managing daily operations, leading clinical and team meetings in the Director's absence, and overseeing key projects.
Other Functions:
Coordinate regular team meetings with the Special Population Hotel Program's Operations staff.
Participate in the recruitment of qualified staff, including interviewing and recommendations for hire. Monitor and assist with the new-hire orientation process to ensure consistency in training among all clinical providers.
Act as program representative, when necessary, at community meetings.
Identify potential problems and points of friction and work to find solutions to maximize efficiency and optimize Housing Works' values.
Act as the primary administrator for reviewing and formally investigating incident reports within the program.
In coordination with the Director of Social Services and the Director of DHS Hotel Programs, develop and update policy and procedures for the program.
Always enforce the Residential Code of Conduct and/or House Rules.
Enthusiastically participate in advocacy and direct actions to end the twin crises of homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Ensure that the program contract meets funding and regulatory requirements.
Maintain regular communication with the DHS Special Populations program team, providing weekly program updates. Coordinate timely responses to evolving program needs and requirements, ensuring effective engagement with vendors, staff, and clients.
Requirements:
Master's and/or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required, as well as a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a social services setting that deals with HIV/AIDS, homelessness, mental health issues, and/or substance use required.
Willingness to work occasional overtime and offer flexibility regarding scheduling work time.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) is strongly preferred.
Ability to work with the homeless migrant population.
