Social Media Coordinator | New York, NY

Rachel Comey is seeking an experienced Social Media Coordinator to join our creative marketing team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of experience in social media management, content creation, and channel strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Substack. Experience in the fashion industry is preferred, along with a strong knowledge of visual arts, contemporary culture, and design.

The ideal candidate is a highly creative and culturally engaged storyteller with a strong understanding of the Rachel Comey brand, customer, and visual language. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, content creation, analytics, and community engagement.

This role translates collection and brand storytelling into visually compelling content across all social platforms, working closely with the creative marketing team and cross‑functional partners.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning

Develop and manage a cohesive social media strategy aligned with brand goals, digital marketing, and sales priorities.

Prepare and present weekly Instagram feed and Story layouts and seasonal content plans to the Founder and Creative Director for review.

Track KPIs, prepare analytics reports, and surface insights to inform and optimize ongoing strategy.

Coordinate with high level marketing, ecommerce and retail teams to ensure cohesive brand storytelling across platforms to maximize product performance.

Content Creation & Publishing

Create, shoot, edit and publish short form video content for IG, Reels, and other emerging platforms that align with the RC brand standards visually and culturally.

Post daily content across platforms, including drafting captions, selecting assets, and maintaining brand voice and quality.

Capture behind the scenes content at events, fashion shows, brand shoots, and retail events.

Support the creation and oversee the execution of photo and video assets for social media.

Brand Voice & Storytelling

Write clean, compelling, culturally relevant and on‑brand copy to support visual content on feed and stories, helping to articulate the RC brand voice with a strong, articulate point of view.

Develop content for product launches, retail moments, and external activations.

Package stories in partnership with art, social and audience teams to ensure high brand, editorial and visual standards.

Operations & Workflow

Manage monthly content calendars across all channels.

Maintain organized asset libraries and workflows for footage, edits, and drafts.

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience in social media management

Strong copywriting and communication skills

Experience with influencer marketing and managing social projects from commission through final delivery

Video editing proficiency across CapCut, Adobe, Frame.io, and relevant platforms

Ability to pitch smart, engaging, and cost‑effective ideas that reflect a deep understanding of the brand, current audience, and target consumer

Fashion industry experience preferred

Work Environment
Part‑time and Full‑time, on‑site role based in New York City, requiring regular collaboration with Marketing, E‑commerce, Retail, Wholesale, and Design teams.
