Job Description Overview

We are seeking a Deputy Program Manager/Program Manager to join our team in Denver, CO. The role focuses on transportation technology projects within the Tolls/ITS/Systems/Technology domain.
Responsibilities

Direct projects to ensure compliance with contract terms and monitor subcontractor progress and performance.
Participate in contract dispute resolution, litigation concerning project performance, administration and liability issues.
Review and approve subconsultant and vendor invoices, resolving payment disputes.
Support project and program delivery, monitor and establish PMO best practices, implement waterfall and agile frameworks and toolsets.
Maintain overall program schedule and identify project interdependencies.
Develop technical and executive‑level PowerPoints, data‑analysis reports and white papers with recommendations.
Develop, communicate and manage program and project quality assurance procedures, including administrative documents, communication guidelines, deliverable specifications and progress reporting requirements.
Monitor staff schedules, billings and reports; ensure appropriate charging of man‑hours, costs and expenses to projects and assist in obtaining payment from clients.
Communicate project progress/status to senior management and alert them to production, quality control or financial performance problems.
Coordinate communication between internal and external associates, clients and regulatory agencies, and manage internal and external meetings.
Maintain frequent contact with clients and regulatory agencies to understand needs and serve as expert witness at hearings and judicial proceedings, if necessary.
Supervise other project managers, technical professionals and staff, manage weekly project workload, manpower forecasting and conduct regular staff update meetings.
Serve as mentor to associate project managers and project managers.
Assist in development and tracking of proposals and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree highly desirable.
12 years of professional experience, including 6–8 years of project management experience, with multi‑disciplinary projects.
PMP certification required or must be obtained within one year of appointment.
Experience managing projects with multiple technical units, subcontractors, heavy regulatory agency involvement or complex technical requirements.
Strong project financial management and team management skills.
Excellent interpersonal, public speaking and persuasive communication skills.
Knowledge of production support systems and proficiency with personal computers.

Compensation

Expected compensation range is between $120,000 and $170,000 annually, depending on skills, experience and geographic location.
