Job Description
KPIX is looking for a highly talented part‑time video editor with a passion for news and experience using non‑linear editing equipment. The editor will work in a fast‑paced television news environment and perform ENG duties as part of the regular responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Perform video editing using non‑linear editing systems (Grass Valley Edius preferred).
Prepare and deliver final edits for news broadcasts.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Assist with ENG (Electronic News Gathering) duties as required.
Work flexible hours, including nights, overnights, and weekends when needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 2‑5 years of experience in a television news setting.
Detail‑oriented, deadline driven, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with Grass Valley Edius editing system is preferred.
Creative, poised team player who can juggle multiple projects.
Flexible schedule with willingness to work nights, overnights, and weekends.
Demo reel demonstrating editing abilities required.
