As the business continues to expand its creative capabilities, they are seeking a Senior Art Director to help elevate campaign execution and strengthen visual storytelling across all brand touchpoints.
This is a hands‑on creative leadership role responsible for translating approved creative direction into compelling, high-quality visual execution across print, digital, social, email, and campaign photography. The Senior Art Director will lead day‑to‑day creative development while guiding a team of designers, ensuring consistency, clarity, and excellence from concept through final production. This role blends concept development, team leadership, and executional oversight, with a strong emphasis on maintaining brand integrity and elevating visual storytelling. It is an opportunity to lead creative execution in a fast‑paced retail environment while mentoring emerging talent and partnering closely with cross‑functional teams.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and execute campaign concepts and visual approaches within established creative direction from senior creative leadership
Translate creative briefs, product priorities, and marketing goals into clear, executable design solutions across channels
Oversee design execution across print and digital deliverables, ensuring alignment with brand standards and creative intent
Build and present mood boards, mockups, presentations, and concept decks to communicate creative direction and rationale
Lead, assign, and review work for Associate Designers, Designers, and Interns, providing ongoing coaching and feedback
Manage day‑to‑day creative workflow, including prioritization, resourcing, and delivery timelines
Provide clear art direction on layout, typography, imagery, and visual storytelling across all campaigns
Provide on‑set art direction for photography and collaborate with photographers, stylists, and production teams
Review and approve imagery selections to ensure alignment with brand standards and campaign objectives
Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, copy, merchandising, e‑commerce, and production teams to align creative output with business needs
Present creative work to stakeholders and clearly articulate design decisions and rationale
Maintain and enforce brand standards across all channels and customer‑facing work
Identify and resolve executional challenges during design development and production
Contribute to process improvements, workflow enhancements, and team best practices
Stay current on design, retail, apparel, and fashion trends to inform creative direction and elevate output
Support hiring, onboarding, and team development initiatives as needed
Position Qualifications
4–6 years of professional experience in graphic design or art direction within an agency, brand, or in‑house creative environment
Proven experience developing integrated campaigns across print and digital channels
Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development, executional design, and visual storytelling
Experience working in fast‑paced creative environments with multiple concurrent projects
Strong proficiency in design principles including typography, layout, composition, and imagery
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional marketing and creative teams
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and standard creative production tools
Demonstrated ability to translate creative direction into high‑quality executed work
Preferred
Experience in apparel, fashion, retail, or catalog environments
Prior experience managing or mentoring junior designers or creative talent
On‑set photo direction experience
Strong understanding of production workflows across print and digital formats
Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills
Ability to balance creative vision with executional constraints and deadlines
Interest in or familiarity with dance, studio culture, or performance‑based lifestyle
