Civil 3D Design Specialist

to join our dynamic team. This position offers exciting opportunities to contribute to various environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering design projects. You will be instrumental in supporting project needs through computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), including tasks such as developing design layouts, grading plans, Plan & Profile, Section Views, and details for civil infrastructure projects.
Your work will encompass landfill cell/closure designs, industrial remediation, stormwater improvements, and more. You will play a key role from the conceptual design phase to construction, working on structural systems and deep foundation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, edit, and finalize design plans using efficient methods while adhering to Geosyntec design standards.
Visualize and understand civil and geotechnical engineering concepts, translating them into effective design drawings.
Analyze sketches and input materials to identify the best approach for grading and modeling tasks.
Manage drawing set production, including creation, markup, and modifications based on design requirements.
Collaborate with other CADD practitioners to ensure high-quality work and improvement of CAD standards and workflows.
Qualifications

Associate's degree in Drafting and a minimum of five years of relevant experience in civil engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
Experience with Autodesk Revit and its interoperability with Civil 3D is preferred.
Skilled in developing and working with survey data, grading plans, and earthwork volumes for large civil projects.
Ability to interpret redline drawings and utilize land or aerial surveying data.
Strong mathematical, geometrical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
Organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
Experience with landfill, roadway, and stormwater infrastructure design is a plus.
Certification in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D (or the capacity to obtain within one year of hire) is preferred.
Candidates will be required to complete a 3rd party Civil 3D assessment and typical homework assignment.
