Position Summary
KCS Public Relations is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a

Senior Public Relations Associate . This role is responsible for leading client accounts, developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives, managing stakeholder engagement efforts, and providing communications counsel to a diverse portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, relationship builder, and project manager who can oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously while delivering exceptional client service and strategic guidance.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Victoria, Texas, with local travel and occasional evening attendance at meetings or events as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts

Develop and implement strategic communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement plans

Provide communications counsel and recommendations that support client goals and business objectives

Lead community relations, public involvement, outreach, and stakeholder engagement initiatives

Develop key messaging, communication materials, presentations, reports, and outreach content

Oversee project execution, timelines, deliverables, and client communications

Conduct research and analysis related to public opinion, stakeholder concerns, industry trends, and community issues

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction

Support business development efforts, proposal preparation, and relationship‑building activities

Represent the firm professionally at client meetings, public events, industry functions, and community engagement activities

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, business, political science, or a related field OR

Three to five years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, community relations, or a related field

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask, lead and work cooperatively with a team

Ability to critically think, problem solve, and delegate tasksInterest in community engagement, public participation, and strategic communications

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and common digital communication tools

Working knowledge of social media platforms and online communications best practices preferred
