About the project: A magical-realist drama about loneliness, friendship, and human connection in New York City.

Logline: After her best friend leaves New York, a young woman finds her loneliness made visible in the form of a giant ant that follows her through the city until a chance encounter with a stranger offers a fleeting alternative.

Rate: Flat fee.

Roles

Lead: Valeria

Vibrant and impulsive on the surface, deeply vulnerable and guarded underneath. After her best friend leaves New York, Valeria struggles with an overwhelming sense of loneliness that begins to manifest in surreal ways.

Supporting - Serena

Female 26-29 y.o. All ethnicities. Warm, grounded, and emotionally generous. Serena is Valeria's closest friend and emotional anchor. She is about to leave New York and is scared of leaving behind an irreplaceable friendship.

Supporting - Sam

Male 30-39 y.o. All ethnicities. Thoughtful and quietly charismatic. A neurologist, Sam is intellectually curious and emotionally self-aware. His attraction to Valeria is genuine.
