Special Programs GBD Manager I – Foster Care (Licensed BH professional)
Locations: Durham, NC; Fayetteville, NC; New Bern, NC; Washington, NC; Kill Devil Hills, NC.
Field

Field‑based role primarily operating in the field, traveling to client sites or designated locations as required, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s); otherwise not considered unless accommodation is granted.
Responsibilities

Manage and oversee a team responsible for coordinating a comprehensive health care program for members, addressing physical health, behavioral health, and social services for programs such as LTSS, Foster Care, IDD, HIV/AIDS.
Manage resource utilization to ensure appropriate delivery of care to members and adequate coverage for all tasks.
Coordinate service delivery, including member assessment of physical and psychological factors.
Participate in cross‑functional workgroups to maintain and develop the program.
Evaluate current processes of special program support functions and recommend changes for increased efficiencies and improved outcomes.
Develop and conduct training programs for staff involved in the program.
Extract and manipulate analytical data to present findings to relevant markets and stakeholders.
Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports.
Qualifications

Minimum of a BA/BS degree.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including at least 1 year of leadership or management experience.
Combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background is acceptable.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

Experience in service delivery coordination, discharge planning, or behavioral health in a managed care setting.
RN, LSW, LPC, or LPN/LVN license.
Experience working with children, youth, and families served by local departments of social services through foster care and adoptive assistance programs.
At least 2 years of managerial experience with direct reports.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
Experience with LTSS, IDD, HIV/AIDS programs is a plus.
