MEN'S SPORTSWEAR AND DENIM DESIGNER

Overview

We are introducing a cutting‑edge men’s denim and sportswear line that embodies style, comfort, and versatility. We seek talented individuals who are passionate about men’s fashion and skilled in designing innovative, trend‑setting pieces for our menswear collection.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and create new designs for the men's denim and sportswear line.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings.
Develop sketches, mood boards and technical drawings that translate ideas into tangible designs.
Create detailed tech packs, including specifications and measurements, to facilitate the production process.
Work closely with product development to ensure designs are executed to the highest quality standards.
Continuously review and refine fit and functionality to optimize comfort and performance.
Stay informed about advances in fabric technology, construction techniques and sustainable practices.
Collaborate with production to monitor and maintain manufacturing integrity.
Participate in fittings and provide valuable feedback to ensure final products meet design expectations.
Actively contribute to the brand’s overall aesthetic and vision, while maintaining a strong understanding of the target market.
Qualifications

Strong passion for men’s fashion and deep understanding of current trends.
Proven track record in designing men’s denim and sportswear with a portfolio showcasing expertise.
Familiarity with denim construction, wash techniques and fabric blends is highly desirable.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
Excellent knowledge of garment construction and pattern making.
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate concepts and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Attention to detail and keen eye for quality.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Flexibility and adaptability to evolving trends and design requirements.
A bachelor’s degree in fashion design or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Compensation and Location

Salary : $100,000–$110,000 (open to freelance)
Location : New York, NY – hybrid.
