GDIT is seeking a Capture Director with primary responsibility for leading and winning new business opportunities with the Intelligence Community (IC) and USCYBERCOMMAND (USCC) markets. The successful candidate will report to the VP of Growth for Space and Cyber Intelligence, as part of the Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Growth team. You will lead pre‑proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post‑submittal activities, and must show a proven methodology toward increasing win probability. How a Capture Director will make an impact

Responsibly pursue strategic Cyber, HPC, Analytics, Research, and Enterprise IT opportunities within the Federal (IC, USCC) space.

Provide strategic thinking and execution for capture efforts by determining capture team resource requirements and managing costs throughout the Bid Acquisition Process.

Engage with customers, partners, and other stakeholders to qualify new business opportunities.

Interface between Business Development and internal/external stakeholders (Business Areas, Operations and Engineering Staff, and Corporate functional organizations) to develop technical, management, and pricing strategies.

Understand capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses and direct the development of solution development, CONOPS, and path to win.

Manage multiple capture efforts simultaneously depending on where the opportunity resides in the acquisition process.

Provide customer and business knowledge through business intelligence to ensure the team fully understands the desires and needs of the customers and the capabilities of potential competitors.

Develop win themes and strategies including value propositions; identify and obtain commitment from industry partners to include OEMs to bridge gaps and increase the Pwin.

Establish value‑added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost.

Co‑lead with the cost estimating team on the pricing strategy to align with the solution and achieve optimal cost advantage for the bid.

Co‑lead with the Proposal Manager on color‑team reviews to ensure repeatable adherence to procedures and processes.

Support continual business development process improvement.

Capture, document, maintain, and report capture and pursuit metrics.

Meet and/or exceed performance goals to support overall corporate growth and success while maintaining a professional approach and full compliance with applicable Federal Procurement and Business Ethics Codes and Regulations.

What you’ll need to succeed

Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a technical discipline).

5+ years of relevant business development, capture, proposal, and/or government sales/marketing experience in the IC market.

Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage a high‑performing team toward business objectives, including experience with competitive analysis, review teams, and creative bid strategies with a thorough understanding of price‑to‑win analysis.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills to evaluate market and customer trends; well‑versed in industry practices, trends, and leaders, with knowledge of acquisition and procurement policies and regulations.

Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, organization, time‑management, team‑building, and sales presence.

Proven track record of identifying, qualifying, and assisting capture and proposal efforts to win large, technology‑based solutions contracts in the Federal Government, emphasizing the IC.

Knowledge of major industry competitors in Maryland (Ft. Meade area) required.

Current, active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Location: Hybrid to Annapolis Junction, MD office with expectation to work at least three (3) days per week in office/customer sites as needed.
