Summary
The Director of Supply Chain Asset Protection leads asset protection strategy and programs across distribution and fulfillment centers to protect company assets, people, and facilities. This role drives shortage reduction, compliance, investigations, and physical security improvements while partnering with Supply Chain and cross-functional leaders. The director also oversees budgets, capital projects, and implementation of security systems to support operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute asset protection strategies across distribution, fulfillment, and transportation networks.
Drive shortage reduction, fraud prevention, cargo theft mitigation, and compliance initiatives.
Oversee physical security systems (alarms, CCTV, card access) and third-party security services.
Design and implement security for new facilities and upgrades to existing sites.
Lead and develop Supply Chain AP teams, including recruitment, succession planning, and training.
Manage AP budgets and capital projects, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to plans.
Direct internal and external investigations and partner with law enforcement as needed.
Conduct facility audits, report findings, and implement corrective actions with operations partners.
Requirements
10+ years progressive experience in asset protection, security, or law enforcement.
5+ years in multi-site leadership within supply chain or distribution environments.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Wicklander/Zulawski Basic Interview Certification and experience with investigations and case management.
Expertise with physical security systems, shortage control programs, and exception reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
Ability to travel up to 50–75% and work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends.
