Sales Coordinator The Sales Coordinator is responsible for performing daily tasks that assist the Sales Office and Group Sales Managers in alignment with the department’s long‑term goals and objectives.
Essential Functions Provide excellent customer service to our clients and their guests, third‑party and direct bookings.
Maintain visibility and integrity of the department throughout the resort, promoting mutual cooperation to ensure promised services are delivered.
Develop and maintain a trusting, long‑term relationship with accounts.
Support Sales initiatives across the Sales Office, including daily client service and acting as an inside‑sales contact and liaison.
Handle group leads in the absence of the sales representative when out of the office or traveling.
Assist in the preparation for travel and tradeshows.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
At least two years of customer service experience in a hotel environment.
Proficient in speaking, reading, writing and understanding the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
Goal‑oriented with the ability to establish and mature objectives.
Capacity to identify and assist in the development of accounts.
Ability to act independently with minimal or no supervision.
Basic computational abilities.
Computer skills, including accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and Delphi; knowledge of Delphi for post‑trade‑show notes and account entries.
Math skills and budgetary analysis capabilities.
Physical Demands Most work tasks are performed indoors at a desk. The environment is moderate and controlled by hotel systems. The position requires sitting at a desk for up to five hours per day and walking or standing for the rest of the day, which may include travel to and from meetings. Tasks may vary day to day. The employee must be able to reach other hotel departments on a timely basis and lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally. The job requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
