Position Overview
We are seeking a sharp, lightning-fast Print & Digital Production Artist for an embedded contract role in Atlanta. This is not a role for conceptual sketching or abstract ideation—this is where great design gets built, scaled, and delivered flawlessly to market.
You will take approved design concepts and master files and translate them across a massive variety of print and digital deliverables. The ideal candidate has an eagle eye for detail, an obsession with pixel-perfect alignment, and the production speed required to handle rapid-fire agency or corporate marketing workflows without breaking a sweat.
What You’ll Do
- Scale & Adapt: Build out extensive mechanicals, digital assets, and production-ready files based on established brand guidelines and master creative.
- Print Production: Prepare flawless, press-ready files for large-scale print, OOH, signage, packaging, and collateral (including setting up bleeds, die-lines, traps, and color separations).
- Digital Production: Slice, resize, and optimize high-volume digital assets for web, social media, email campaigns, and programmatic display banners.
- Quality Control: Act as the final line of defense against typos, layout shifts, incorrect branding, and technical file errors before delivery.
- File Management: Maintain meticulously organized server structures, strict naming conventions, and asset linking protocols.
What It Takes (Requirements)
- The Portfolio: A proven portfolio showcasing clean execution, technical precision, and high-volume production output (e.g., full asset rollouts, multi-page layout mechanicals, or complex print specs). Please note: We are looking for production execution, not just high-level conceptual design.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level command of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Experience with digital workflow or project management tools (like Workfront) is a major plus.
- Speed & Accuracy: Ability to pivot quickly between projects under tight deadlines while maintaining absolute accuracy.
- Atlanta Presence: Ability to work on-site or hybrid in the Atlanta metro area as required by production schedules.
Bonus Points
- Prior experience in a fast-paced agency or high-volume corporate in-house creative department.
- Deep knowledge of local print vendor specifications and current prepress standards.
