Responsibilities

Leads all phases of the speech development process for the Bank president, including coordinating the review process, completing necessary research, and ensuring that speeches are prepared in a timely, appropriate, and confidential manner.
Drafts and refines compelling, structurally sound remarks that advance principal positioning and messaging goals.
Works with cross‑functional teams—including economists, subject matter experts, and communications staff—to craft and improve messaging on a range of topics such as economic conditions and monetary policy.
Convenes, leads, and manages the writing process, develops detailed delivery timelines, assigns accountabilities with due dates, and builds agendas and briefing documents.
Understands context, audience, and tone appropriate to each piece of communication, producing polished drafts that require minimal revision.
Leads post‑engagement reviews for continuous improvement, evaluating message penetration, delivery effectiveness, and audience response.
Synthesizes observations into clear recommendations that are shared with the president and carried forward into subsequent speeches.
Advises on tone and tenor of public remarks and recommends delivery adjustments that strengthen communication impact.
Drafts shorter‑form executive communications—including welcoming remarks, town‑hall scripts, strategy presentations, and internal leadership messages—that require an authoritative and accessible voice.
Researches, drafts, and refines articles for internal and external Bank publications from the president, reflecting a precise command of language and a consistent, audience‑centered voice.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of Bank‑wide talking points and public outreach resources, ensuring all speakers across the institution carry forth the president's messaging.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Policy, Economics, or a closely related field and a minimum of ten years of related work experience, OR
Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Policy, Economics, or a closely related field and a minimum of seven years of related work experience.
The related work experience must include professional writing experience in an executive communications, speechwriting, policy communications, or public affairs role.
Knowledge Areas – Expert Level

Demonstrated experience writing formal speeches, policy remarks, or executive‑level communications for senior organizational leaders.
Proficiency with standard office productivity and document management tools.
Skill Areas – Expert Level

Ability to translate complex economic or policy content into clear, compelling, and audience‑appropriate language for diverse audiences.
Strong project management skills, including experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing multiple concurrent deliverables under deadline pressure.
