Job Overview
Consumer Marketing Coordinator – Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield – Little Rock, AR. The role serves as a liaison to multiple markets to coordinate the development and production of marketing and advertising materials, campaigns, and webpages. The incumbent acts as a project manager to deliver marketing projects on strategy, time, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the development of marketing and advertising materials, campaigns, and webpages to support Consumer, Government Programs, Medicare, Agent, and Retail Markets.
Serve as project manager ensuring marketing projects are delivered on strategy, on time and on budget.
Strategize and plan traditional and digital marketing campaigns across channels such as digital display ads, paid and organic social media, outdoor boards, TV, radio, signage, landing pages, vanity URLs, SEM, direct mail, email, text and Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys.
Work with the Digital Experience team to ensure marketing and product content is up-to-date online and in the mobile app.
Produce product and sales materials and collateral supporting overall strategy, including digital and printed brochures, flyers, postcards, print ads and presentations.
Produce marketing materials, promo items, signage and campaigns for ArkansasBlue Welcome Centers.
Write, review and edit content for materials and campaigns that comply with regulations from CMS, Arkansas Insurance Department (AID) and Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS).
Manage the marketing calendar for Consumer and Retail Markets to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Manage relationships with direct-response agencies and other vendors to coordinate campaigns throughout the year.
Monitor marketing campaign results and adjust strategy as needed to meet objectives and goals.
Support other division activities as assigned.
Coordinate compliance reviews with Compliance and Legal and maintain compliance requirements for marketing materials.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design or related field, or five (5) years of experience in one of these fields.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in writing and implementing marketing campaigns, tracking performance against budget and sales lead goals. (or applicable) Masters with minimum one (1) year experience.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in communications, public relations or marketing project management in a business environment.
Proven writing and editing ability in marketing and promotional materials.
Understanding of sales and marketing process.
Basic working knowledge of website content preparation for public internet and intranet support.
Broad understanding of the health‑care system in Arkansas and the Plan’s role.
Essential Skills & Abilities
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people across the organization.
Proficiency in word processing, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Creative ability to conceive, adapt and implement effective communication.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to coordinate with multiple vendors and resources.
Ability to work independently or as a team member/leader and function without supervision.
Ability to communicate with executive leadership to provide communications direction and support.
Compliance and legal coordination skill to maintain marketing material standards.
Certifications & Requirements
Security and confidentiality of records and information must be maintained. Administrative Manual guidelines on segregation of duties apply. The position is a regular, full‑time role; no visa sponsorship. Candidates must be eligible to begin work on the date of hire and currently authorized to work in the United States. Remote work is available from selected states; the position is not 100% remote and requires office attendance 1‑3 times per week depending on business needs.
