Industry Experts Ghostwriter

BSM Partners' consultants are respected thought leaders across the global pet care industry. As our firm grows, so does the demand for content that transforms their expertise into compelling, authoritative writing—across nutrition, regulatory affairs, engineering, consumer insights, product innovation, and more.

We're looking for a part-time ghostwriter to fuel this engine, with potential to grow into a full-time role with benefits. The ideal candidate translates technical knowledge into engaging content for industry professionals, veterinarians, retailers, suppliers, and pet owners—and does so with ease, accuracy, and a strong editorial instinct.

Content may include:

  • Editorial thought leadership and industry commentary
  • Blog posts and educational explainers
  • Regulatory and scientific analysis
  • White papers, technical briefs, and advertorials
  • Podcast scripts and show notes

Experience

  • 10+ years in professional writing (journalism, ghostwriting, editorial, or technical writing)
  • Demonstrated experience ghostwriting expert-driven content in multiple formats and audiences (editorial, technical, B2B, B2C)
  • Proven ability to interview subject-matter experts and translate insights into compelling narratives

Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling across registers and formats
  • Ability to simplify complex scientific or technical content without sacrificing accuracy
  • Strong self-management: works independently and reliably meets deadlines
  • Familiarity with SEO-informed editorial writing and evidence-based research synthesis
  • Knowledge of pet care, animal health, or food production a plus

To Apply

Please send your resume and include 2–3 writing samples that demonstrate your range. We're especially interested in seeing work that reflects a named expert's voice (ghostwritten pieces, bylined articles written on someone else's behalf, etc.), along with any technical or science-adjacent writing.
