Monday - Friday 5AM-1:30PM

$20.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Purpose:

To set up, program and troubleshoot robotic machining cells to machine, grind and polish metal tools following the initial forging of the tools all the way to the finishing operations to meet the company quality standards.

Essential Functions:

1.

Setups and programs robotic machining cells to polish, grind, machine, and/or finishing tools according to the company design and standards.

2.

Adjusts programs within robotic cells to correct program for variations in work-in-process tools.

3.

Troubleshoots any programming issues and fixes any program errors or malfunctions.

4.

Writes programs as needed for tool production and new tools as needed.

5.

Performs minor maintenance on equipment, such as: replacing broken pneumatic hoses and cleaning blower tube, etc.

6.

Performs duties as a Robotic Cell Technician when there are no programming issues to complete.

7.

Transports tools to and from appropriate staging areas.

8.

Completes the appropriate routing sheet and inputs data entry information in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have had at least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

2. Must display understanding of abstract concepts; have a mechanical aptitude with understanding of inertia, friction, position, speed, acceleration, transfer of force; and knowledge of plant machining operations.

3. Must be able to work with mathematical concepts such as algorithms, integrals, probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

4. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

5. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

6. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.

7. Must demonstrate basic computer skills along with programming concepts including Boolean logic.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are preferred.

9. Must attend job-related robotic programming and mechanical classes at company discretion and expense.

10. Able to stand eight hours or more per day. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
