Position Summary
The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay brings help, hope, and healing to people facing serious life challenges or trauma resulting from sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, financial distress, substance abuse, medical emergency, suicidal thoughts, emotional or situational problems. The primary responsibility of the Marketing Manager is to support the Marketing Department with a wide range of marketing and public relations activities including developing marketing materials, public relations, and agency communications. This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing & Public Relations and, when he/she is unavailable, to the Chief Development Officer.
Strategic/Transformational Duties and Responsibilities
Provides support to the Marketing and Development team for marketing, public relations, and fundraising.
Transactional Duties and Responsibilities
Creative development of print support materials, social media and other graphics, and video content.
Write newsletter articles, social media posts, and website content.
Manages monthly e-newsletter distribution and annual printed newsletter.
Assists in the planning and execution of Crisis Center events, including serving as the liaison with applicable vendors.
Manages the promotion of Crisis Center events (agency run and third party).
Assists in coordination of media interviews.
Updates and expands media contact list.
Assists in the development of Crisis Center press releases.
Manages content on Crisis Center website.
Manages product design/development, orders and fulfillment of Crisis Center staff apparel.
Consolidates and analyzes Crisis Center performance data from service areas and organizational development staff to be distributed to media and the general public.
Helps connect community members seeking help through the Crisis Center website and social media to Crisis Center service areas.
Provides periodic community tours of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s facilities.
Assists with special projects as needed to achieve Marketing and Development goals.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, business, or marketing and at least two years’ experience in marketing, advertising, and/or public relations.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Canva.
Social media video production experience (shoot, edit, graphics).
Valid Florida driver’s license and insured personal transportation, or coordinated personal transportation, required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Graphic design and social media video production skills.
Ability to organize and plan all logistical aspects related to event planning.
Familiarity with social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube.
Excellent written, oral, and relationship‑building skills.
Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and ability to learn additional systems software.
Ability to determine priorities and ensure quick turnaround times, projects completed with urgency.
Detail oriented and organized.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time appropriately.
Ability to collect and evaluate data.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers, volunteers, reporters, vendors, and donors.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Must have ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Employee must be able to sit, climb or balance, hear, use hands, taste/smell, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, talk, and reach with hands and arms. Ability to sit for long periods. Duties performed primarily in an office setting, using computer and standard office equipment such as telephone and copier/printer. Work performed mainly indoors but may require outdoor activities. Travel may be required.
Hours
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with occasional nights and weekends required.
