Spencer Stuart is recruiting an Analyst for the Consumer Practice, based in NewYorkCity. Analysts partner with Associates, Senior Associates, and Consultants to conduct research, develop talent maps, target lists, and client‑ready documents that support search assignments and new business development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client’s industry, including value proposition, competitive landscape, strengths and weaknesses, stock performance, and employee count.
Synthesize industry information for clear, client‑ready documents.
Stay updated on news and issues related to key client engagements and market opportunities, sharing relevant information promptly with Associates, Consultants, and Executive Engagement Administrators.
Assist in detailed industry talent mapping and proactively identify high‑potential executives.
Leverage internal and external databases (e.g., Quest, CapitalIQ, D&B Hoovers, BoardEx, LinkedIn) to research executives and track executive movements.
Participate in kick‑off meetings to assist in the development of the search strategy.
Directly assist Associates with search‑related tasks, such as developing search strategies and target lists.
Develop industry and/or functional expertise by staying informed of industry trends and identifying “best in class” leaders and future talent.
Qualifications & Experience
Recent or soon‑to‑be university graduate (4‑year Bachelor’s degree required).
Strong academic performance (minimum 3.4 GPA).
Well‑rounded leadership experience in internships, work, community service, athletics, or student‑led organizations.
Advanced research, analysis, and synthesis skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self‑directed, proactive, resourceful, team‑oriented, and tenacious.
Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Permanent work authorization in the UnitedStates.
Compensation & Benefits
Base compensation: $80,000 per year, with discretion on adjustment based on skills and experience. Eligible for Spencer Stuart’s discretionary bonus program.
