Job Summary Sales Manager responsible for owning the sales experience within a Saks Fifth Avenue store, fostering a customer‑centric environment, and driving sales through clienteling and team development.
Salary Salary Range: $67,832 – $84,790 annually. Eligible for bonus.
Responsibilities Actively recruit and onboard new hires, ensuring a talent bench.
Train and develop top talent, support career development, set clear goals.
Enforce policies and procedures, ensuring all associates understand them.
Evaluate performance fairly, provide feedback and coaching.
Develop direct reports' personal brand as fashion authorities and enhance social media presence.
Drive ongoing education initiatives such as product knowledge, client events, and targeted selling.
Promote a positive environment with recognition and celebration.
Resolve work‑related concerns and conflicts quickly.
Empower team to own internal and external customer problems.
Oversee scheduling with sensitivity to store calendar.
Create an environment of trust, collaboration, and feedback.
Model candor and appropriately challenge status‑quo.
Exhibit Saks Fifth Avenue culture and values, creating a friendly atmosphere.
Model exceptional service and client relationship building skills.
Plan client appointments and support initiatives with partners.
Build positive relationships with team, customers, partners, and community.

Use clienteling tools for targeted recommendations.
Stay informed on new merchandise deliveries to maximize selling potential.

Adjust processes and standards based on customer behavior and trends.
Support audit compliance and enforce controls.
Stay informed about business drivers, industry trends, and competitors.
Track progress against departmental strategies.
Share best practices and ideas to improve performance.
Show strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
Champion change initiatives.
Required Qualifications Relevant team‑leading experience with supervisory responsibilities.
Proven track record of managing a selling and operations workforce and achieving results.
Proficiency in technology, including clienteling tools, social media, and Google Workspace.
Advanced proficiency preferred.
History of motivating and coaching teams to achieve objectives.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Physical ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 10 lbs.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications Luxury retail fashion experience.
4‑year degree.
Continuous skill building through training and coaching.
Knowledge and appreciation of the Saks Fifth Avenue business and fashion industry.
Adaptability and creativity in changing environments.
