About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and commercially driven VP of Influencer Marketing to lead and scale our influencer strategy globally. This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned marketing executive who understands the creator economy at its deepest level — someone who can build and inspire a high-performing team, forge transformative partnerships, and translate cultural moments into measurable business impact. You will own the influencer channel end-to-end, setting the strategic vision, defining the measurement framework, and ensuring our brand shows up authentically across every platform and audience segment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the global influencer marketing strategy, aligning it with broader brand, growth, and revenue objectives.

  • Identify emerging platforms, creator trends, and audience shifts to keep the brand ahead of the cultural curve.

  • Build a scalable influencer program architecture spanning awareness, consideration, and conversion across all tiers, from nano to mega influencers.

  • Serve as the internal authority on the creator economy, educating and advising senior stakeholders and the C‑suite.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of influencer marketing managers, coordinators, and agency partners.

  • Foster a high-performance culture built on creativity, accountability, data‑fluency, and collaboration.

  • Set clear team goals, establish performance standards, and ensure consistent career development for direct reports.

Partnerships & Creator Relations

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with top‑tier creators, talent agencies, and multi‑channel networks (MCNs).

  • Negotiate and close high‑value influencer partnerships, ambassador programs, and long‑term brand deals.

  • Build a diverse and inclusive creator roster that authentically represents the brand’s audiences and values.

  • Oversee the full partnership lifecycle from briefing and contracting through content approval, publishing, and reporting.

Campaign Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Brand, Performance Marketing, Social, PR, and Product teams to integrate influencer into integrated campaigns.

  • Ensure seamless execution of influencer activations across product launches, seasonal campaigns, and always‑on programming.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all partnerships adhere to FTC guidelines and platform policies.

Analytics, Measurement & Budget

  • Own the influencer marketing budget, allocating spend efficiently across channels, tiers, and campaign objectives.

  • Define KPIs and build robust reporting frameworks to measure reach, engagement, sentiment, EMV, and attributed revenue.

  • Leverage data and consumer insights to continuously optimize creator selection, content strategy, and campaign performance.

  • Present results, learnings, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership on a regular basis.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years focused on influencer or creator marketing at a senior level.

  • Proven track record of building and scaling influencer programs that drive measurable brand and business outcomes.

  • Deep knowledge of the creator economy, social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels), and influencer tools/platforms.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and developing multi‑person marketing teams.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing multi‑million dollar budgets and negotiating complex partnership agreements.

  • Data‑driven mindset with fluency in performance metrics, attribution modeling, and reporting tools.

  • Outstanding communicator and relationship builder — you can inspire a creator and a CFO in the same afternoon.

  • Experience in a consumer brand, agency, or high‑growth startup environment preferred.

What Success Looks Like

  • Audited the existing influencer program and delivered a clear, prioritized strategic roadmap.

  • Built or restructured a high‑performing team capable of executing at scale.

  • Signed a portfolio of meaningful creator partnerships that elevate brand awareness and drive revenue.
