Responsibilities
As an Anchor/MMJ, you will build a vital connection between a story and your audience. From pitching stories to delivering engaging newscasts, your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of reporting and anchoring. You will be part of a collaborative team that creates compelling, timely, accurate, character‑driven content to connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms.

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum News
Required Qualifications
Experience : Television news anchoring – 3+ years, Television news reporting – 5+ years
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field; or comparable television work experience
Technical Skills : Video editing, still photography, social media marketing
Skills : Reporting and anchoring
Abilities : Managing multiple priorities effectively, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
Travel Ability : Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
Schedule : Work different shifts or longer shifts due to breaking news and severe weather emergencies and able to work weekends and holidays
Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the state of residence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a 24‑hour news channel
Working Conditions
Works inside in a climate‑controlled environment but may be assigned to field duties and be subjected to various weather conditions that could include extreme heat or cold.
Compensation
The base pay for this position generally is between $00 and $00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of incentive‑based compensation such as bonuses.
