Social & Community Digital Manager – Africa Team
EMPIRE is looking for a Social & Community Digital Manager to join our Africa Team. This role will report into the VP of Social Strategy and VP of Digital Strategy and will support the execution of social and digital marketing initiatives by assisting with content creation, campaign coordination, and performance tracking, while collaborating across teams to drive audience engagement and community growth.
Responsibilities
Manage social media accounts, ensuring consistent voice, tone, and community engagement across platforms.
Lead day-to-day social content creation, scheduling, monitoring, and management.
Monitor social engagement, audience sentiment, and community feedback to inform content strategy and optimize performance.
Develop and maintain social content calendars informed by digital trends, cultural moments, and audience insights.
Create engaging social content as needed, including copy, graphics, short-form video, and real time content.
Demonstrate basic video and photo editing skills to produce social assets.
Attend artist events, activations, and live moments to capture content and support real time engagement.
Collaborate with internal teams, artists, and external partners to execute social and community initiatives.
Support the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns across social and online platforms.
Advise on social best practices and emerging digital opportunities to optimize campaign performance.
Assist in tracking campaign performance, compiling engagement reports, and organizing insights to inform future campaigns.
Maintain performance reporting dashboards and document key learnings.

Key Notes for Success
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
1-3 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or a related field.
Deep understanding of digital platforms, social trends, and online culture.
Familiarity with basic digital and social media strategy concepts.
Ability to generate content ideas and stay current with emerging trends.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Must be based in Lagos or Johannesburg.
