The Panther Group is seeking a Marketing & Communications Specialist for a hybrid opportunity with a prestigious Boston-based university. This role is ideal for a communications professional who excels at translating complex information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences. You'll play a key role in shaping communications for a large IT Services organization, developing content strategies, managing editorial calendars, and creating communications that help faculty, staff, and students understand and engage with technology initiatives—including emerging AI tools and services. What You’ll Do
Content Strategy & Communications Planning
Develop and execute integrated content strategies that support organizational goals and initiatives
Manage editorial calendars across multiple communication channels
Plan, coordinate, and deliver content aligned with business priorities and audience needs
Support communications related to technology initiatives, digital transformation, and AI adoption
Advise stakeholders on messaging, content planning, and communication approaches
Writing, Editing & Content Development
Create clear, engaging content for:
Websites
Email campaigns
Newsletters
Digital communications
Internal communications
User-facing content and system messaging
Translate complex or technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical audiences
Edit and proofread content to ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy
Develop content supporting technology services, AI initiatives, and organizational programs
Digital Communications & Channel Management
Maintain and update web content and digital communication platforms
Support social media and digital engagement initiatives
Collaborate on multimedia content, graphics, videos, and digital storytelling projects
Monitor content performance and use analytics to improve engagement and effectiveness
Stay current with emerging communications, marketing, and AI trends
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with technical teams, subject matter experts, and organizational leaders to develop accurate and effective communications
Support project communications, change management initiatives, and organizational announcements
Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Contribute to strategic communications planning and continuous improvement efforts
Leveraging AI in Content Creation
Utilize AI tools to support:
Content creation
Editing and proofreading
Research and summarization
Workflow efficiency
Content optimization
Help communicate AI-related initiatives and best practices to the broader university community
Required Qualifications
Experience in marketing, communications, content strategy, public relations, or a related field
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Experience managing editorial calendars and content workflows
Strong ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
Experience creating content for websites, email communications, newsletters, and digital channels
Strong project management and organizational skills
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and departments
Demonstrated comfort using AI tools as part of day-to-day content development
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience communicating about technology, AI, data, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives
Higher education experience
Experience with content management systems (CMS)
Familiarity with UX writing and web accessibility best practices
Experience with email marketing platforms and content analytics
Experience developing visual, video, or multimedia content
